Blueprint for Impact: Inside a Working Innovation Ecosystem

The 4th Generation University concept, grounded in Elsevier and TU Eindhoven’s report on the Brainport ecosystem (TU/e, ASML, NXP, Philips), argues that universities drive impact by embedding in regional innovation ecosystems. Most institutions now agree ecosystems are the direction of travel; that consensus is the easy part. The harder question is delivery: every place starts from a different context, and progress depends on building the regional partnerships and frameworks that turn ambition into outcomes. This session moves from that framing to a live case: how Imperial is building exactly this kind of ecosystem across West London.
